Candy Rain: Ame no Ame Isomalt, food coloring, fish line Variable dimensions The installation is commissioned as a site-specific artwork at Snow Picnic in collaboration with the candy store, Papabubble, Tokyo, Japan. It is inspired by the sounds of Japanese words, “ame”(飴=candy) and “ame”(雨=rain). When phonetically written in alphabets, those two words look exactly the same, and they are pronounced pretty similarly. However, they have slightly different accents.
